Sadly I found this article too late to comment – otherwise I would have added that one of the things that drives me crazy about women – is that many of us don’t know how to compete with each other in a healthy way.

Competition between women often ends up in bitching, complaining, backstabbing and damaged friendships (just watch an episode of Next Top Model!). I believe this is because we don’t get to practice competing against each other enough growing up. Competition is seen as unfeminine… Whereas for men it seems growing up is ALL about competing with each other. And whilst I wouldn’t want to reach that extreme – at least they get to let all their energy and passion loose, try their hardest and then despite competing hard with each other – still be friends afterwards… I’m sure there are other women out there (like me) who have held themselves back to avoid upsetting others?

So, I know I know, I’m supposed to be recuperating from surgery. And I am – honest! BUT I spotted this news article online – and I was so STUNNED that I needed to share my horror with you guys. So, please let me know what you think by commenting beneath this posting!

It reminds me how lucky we are and how much women’s rights still need to be fought for…

ARTICLE EXTRACT: “With the click of your mouse, you can grope her and lift her skirt. Then you can follow her aboard the train, assaulting her sister and her mother. As you continue to play, “friends” join in and in a series of graphic, interactive scenes, you can corner the women, rape them again and again.”

This is a videogame created in Japan – but because of the internet the game became available globally before being withdrawn. Sadly it is still available from underground sources. See the CNN news article here.

I keep picturing a teenage boy playing this game, then going to the subway – perhaps with his friends – and assaulting a girl for real… Remember that the brain can’t tell the difference between something real and something vividly imagined – think how you feel after waking from some dreams!

***WARNING*** Sexual terms and discussion

Do you love your ‘muff’? Because this is not a joke – check out www.ilovemymuff.com and let me know what you think!

This new product and advertising really surprised me. And while I love that this company is Canadian and apparently all natural, WHY DO WE HAVE to make our ‘MUFFS’ smell of a Lavender or Vanilla blend in the first place? www.ilovemymuff.com/about

Do these products really leave us “savvy, empowered and informed women”?

What do you think of being told “Now that you’re so fresh and so clean, you can rule out dubbing it the dirty south”?

Do we really need a “4-step system for keeping our secret garden smelling fragrant with wash, spray, lotion and on-the-go individual wipes”?

Because I was under the impression that feminine wipes are BAD for our ‘muffs’ killing off the good bacteria as well as the bad and leading to potential infections?

And don’t we have enough on our plates being told by advertisers that we need to buy the latest clothes to fit in and look stylish, take their exercise classes to keep fit, eat their diet products to lose weight and use their vitamin products to be healthy? And now we need our ‘muffs’ to smell of essential oils?

As a sex ‘aid’ I could understand it more, but in that case what’s wrong with good old chocolate or whipped cream?

Tell me what YOU think!

Remember, we always LOVE to hear what you’re thinking.
